WORDS OF WELCOME

Dear Colleagues

Two years after the success of the previous conference, we are back with our 3rd National Transfusion Medicine Conference that will be held from 24 – 27 August 2007 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

This year conference is special indeed as it also coincides with our nation’s 50th year of independence. In addition of attending the conference, the participants will also be able to participate in the nation’s celebration as well as to enjoy the culture and sights of Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding area.

We have invited well renowned international speakers as well as our local experts to share their knowledge, experiences and up-to-date information in the fields of transfusion. The conference will also include exhibition booths from major players in transfusion and pre-conference workshops on immunohaematology and transfusion microbiology. The conference thus will provide opportunities for all participants to discuss on topics of interests with the experts and fellow colleagues. Participants are also encouraged to submit abstracts of their research and latest findings for poster presentation during the conference.

We look forward to welcoming you all in Kuala Lumpur come this August.
